Eclipse EDIS® is a robust and fast diagnostic tool that links vehicle and computer. It works for both old and new vehicles. Eclipse EDIS connected to the diagnostic connector on the vehicle and then communicates wirelessly with one of our diagnostic programs on your PC. EDIS software is updated regularly with new vehicle models and deeper functionality.
With EDIS CARS, you can make brand-specific diagnosis of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles from 1988 onwards. A total of 47 different brands.

Flight Recorder
Set the parameters you wish to record and store the configuration on EDIS. Simply connect the EDIS to the vehicle. A trigger button to start the recording is located on the end cap.
Coding and Programming
Eclipse EDIS® provides higher level functions previously only available in dealer level tools. Some examples:

Plug with LED lamp
Anyone that frequently uses a diagnostic tool knows how handy a flashlight is when you are locating the diagnostic socket under the dash board. Eclipse EDIS® has an LED located exactly where it is most useful, on the diagnostic connector.
ISI - ECU Detection
Intelligent System Identification automatically identifies and selects the ECUs fitted in the vehicle. This way you can be sure that the diagnostics performed are appropriate to the vehicle and the resulting data is accurate.
Design & Construction
Eclipse EDIS® is designed to endure tough conditions in the workshop. It has a protective rubber casing, and all connections are covered with protective caps. A small but useful feature is the hook that sits on the cable. It makes it possible to hang the Eclipse EDIS® on a side window in use or in the workshop for storage.
Battery Warning
When you plug in with Eclipse EDIS® it automatically checks the vehicle voltage - be it 12 or 24 volt based. If it's too low or too high the Eclipse EDIS® unit warns you with an audible alarm and the multi-colour status indicator glows red. Furthermore the software displays a battery voltage warning indicator.
Coverage
Eclipse EDIS® is equipped with a unique multiplexer technology, which means it can be used for all types of vehicles, regardless of voltage level and communication standards. For those vehicles that do not use the standard 16-pin connector, we offer a complete set of manufacturer specific cables.
OBD Functions
Within Eclipse EDIS software you can see the adaptations and adjustments that are possible for any given vehicle - without even plugging in! Without the vehicle being present you can plan and streamline your work, be well prepared for complex situations - or even decide whether to take a job on.
Original Data
Using the Original Data method for software development, Eclipse can ensure that EDIS uses accurate OEM data, produced at frequent update intervals.
Other diagnostic software relies on reverse engineering - a labour intensive and time-consuming process.
VIN Selection
Simply enter the VIN to correctly identify the vehicle you're about to diagnose. If you don't fancy reading it off the windscreen you can even plug in and Eclipse EDIS® will retrieve it automatically. (Cars only currently)

Autodata integration
As you've already identified the vehicle you're working on save time when you want workshop data from other sources. Simply click the link in the software and Autodata will open on the correct page.
Currently this works with "traditional" Autodata only - not the online version.
ISS - Quick Scan
Intelligent System Search quickly scans all vehicle systems and displays any error codes stored in each ECU. This is a real time saver and provides an overview of the vehicle health. Once the scan is complete you can move on to any of the ECUs to make a deeper diagnosis.
Multi-colour status indicator
Eclipse EDIS® uses a multi colour indicator which is located on the front of the unit for excellent visibility. The indicator uses different colours to show the current state of communication as well as warning for low battery voltage.
Reporting
For the vehicle owner to feel confident about your work, it is important to show what you've done. With the built-in reporting feature in the software, you can add fault codes from several controllers in a report and view graphs and data from real-time data. Print the result and you have a neat and professional report.
Help - when you need it
For all OBD functions, such as adjustments and adaptations, there is a detailed instruction and help text available in the software. This contains information about prerequisites, preparation and step by step implementation. With Eclipse EDIS® even a complex procedure becomes simple to perform.

Both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems are supported, note that 64-bit OS require special handling during installation of USB drivers.
The program can only be started from accounts with administrator or limited user rights. It is not possible to start the program from a Guest account.
